This lot has a beautiful view overlooking Seagull Lake looking west to catch all the evening sunsets. The driveway is in and power comes to the lot. There is a nice floating dock at the waterfront and the property comes with 2 canoes and a 14′ Lund fishing boat.
This lot was impacted by the Ham Lake fire of 2007 and the original home was destroyed. The home site has been cleaned up with a new growth forest emerging. There are white pine, red pine, and jack pine trees scattered around covering the lot, plus some private blueberry bushes for your morning pancakes.
In the cleanup they left the excavation for a basement, so that is an added value. There are still downfall trees to be cleared but once that work is done the lot will be one of the shining jewels of a select few home owners on Sea Gull Lake.
Seagull Lake is considered one of the most scenic lakes of the Boundary Waters Wilderness area. The portion of the lake adjacent to this lot allows motorized recreation, while the western portion of the lake is within the designated Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and is for paddle recreation only. There are 2 direct entry points from Seagull into the interior of the wilderness country for canoe trips or day recreation.
Seagull is one of the few native Lake Trout lakes in the area, and there is a fishery of walleye, smallmouth bass and northern as well. Many of the rocky glaciated islands on the lake have great picnic spots and blueberry patches.
