This 2 bedroom seasonal cabin is located on the south shore of West Bearskin Lake, perched high enough on the side hill for a beautiful view over the lake to the north. This is a rustic cabin, with a gas fired toilet in a small building adjacent to the main building. The cabin is pine paneled and has a wood burning fireplace stove in the living room. This property is located about 1/2 mile in on a private side road. The road is well maintained, for use from May into the late fall. It is not plowed in the winter. The present owners have used the cabin in the winter, coming in by cross country ski or snowmobile from the lake landing which is about 2 blocks away.
West Bearskin Lake is a native lake trout lake, plus fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike. The lake has direct access to two of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness access points.
This modest cabin is a great starter property without having to invest an arm and a leg to get a home base along the Gunflint Trail.
